Hello Jeania,

thanks for your interest in Menu Inventor Smile, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't run on Vista, please give it a go. Visit http://micron.me.uk/menuinventor for download, also want to read http://micron.me.uk/node/185 for a quick start.

Any problems, just comment here or start a thread in our forums: http://micron.me.uk/forum/menuinventor

Is it portable i.e. if it is configured only to launch apps etc from a USB Key while this itself is placed at the root of the key, then by plugging the key to another PC it will give same functionality and no registry use for saving oiptions?

Menu Inventor is in a way portable: it does not use registry, all settings and options are stored in files inside the installation folder. Hence, if you install Menu Inventor on a USB, it will run exactly the same on any other PC.

For Menu Inventor to operate exactly the same, you need all the applications installed on the original PC to be installed on the other PC as well. Menu Inventor will also run even if some of the applications are missing. If you place the applications on the USB, there will be no problem.

Hope this answers your question Wink.

Great! That means it is 100% portable.

Why don't you add that to the feature list then? ;-D
