Every year, we look forward to this massive event called the Graduation Ball and this year, I joined the Committee as a designer. The task was to design the ticket and a massive 90x60cm poster. And the theme?lthough the theme was "80's disco", this design combines the "retro" style with some more modern, contemporary approaches. Well, after hours and hours of cyclic brainstorming, drawing, compositing and redrawing, the job was finally done and is now awaiting approval for printing.

All art files will be soon published on deviantart.com under the Creative Commons Licence and hence available freely for download as far as the licence conditions are kept.

Yes, after a looong break, I've started working on Menu Inventor again! This weeks' newest development additions include:

• The Icon System has been rewritten!
• Headers and Separators working again!
• Multiple fonts solution implemented

I just launched a new handy feedback page, so that we can easily listen to your opinion and suggestions or help you resolve problems.

Unfortunately, this month was a very busy one and we hardly had time to do anything, really. Most of our efforts are concentrated on finishing the Yearbook and we are currently discussing the redesign of the front cover. As soon as I receive new student pages, Preview #2 will be released.

So that's it! Today, I finally shook it off - my UCAS application completed, reviewed, amended, approved and sent. So glad it's finished... hope that for some time I can concentrate on finishing the Ybook now

Today's meeting was quick and was mostly concerned with where, what and when to get photos from whom and who's when going to do what and why. Jana's gonna get more pictures, Ondra and Kuba are getting ready to work over the weekend, Tomas will be getting all the questionnaires finished - hopefully - and will be taking tutor group photos with me this wednesday.

Today, The Printer has announced us a reasonable price (228,50 Kč - 96 pages; 254,20 Kč - 112 pages, both version hard-covered). Yes, after weeks of waiting, we now officially have a printer!

This week's work was dedicated to the yearbook and 9 new pages have been introduced, reaching 33% in the design stage. The following sections were enriched:

skiing trip doublepage, elections and bbq doublepage

eca & cas

ping pong and cricket - one page

Also, a second preview is planned and will be soon published in mid-October.

No more of those ?q= parts in the URL. So from now on, micron.ic.cz/?q=yearbook becomes simply micron.ic.cz/yearbook (and so forth..)
