Site update

I knew I should have done this after I returned from London, but that's just me. I sort of said to myself that I simply had to do it right now, so I did the site update to drupal 4.7.2 and along with a new theme set up, many many problems were created too.

The site runs but I don't have any nerves left to fix all the site bugs anymore. I guess you'll have to wait till I get back....

Micron goes "flying"!

Picture: ISIS Aerotaxi Jet, a ten seated, one jet engine aircraft; (.jpg, 150kB) Micron Developers have decided to diversify their offered services and that is why we are stretching our specialisation from software development to aerospace design and developement activities.

This is our first aerospace project. Your opinions are highly appreciated. This projected is being carried out in co-operation with Marek Havel who is one of the designers of the aircraft.

Drag'n'Drop your jaws!

After an afternoon full of vigorous coding, I'm glad to bring you a brand new hot feature! Drag'n'Drop editing! Yay! What was only possible using Move Down/Up, Cut and Paste before, can now be done using your mouse - quick'n'comfy, eh?

Check it out: (sorry for the clumsy quality.)

Graphics Engine

Today's time and hard work was dedicated to re-implementation of Menu Inventor's Graphics Engine. The concept of Cards & Sides as a means of graphical interpretation was born today.

Currently Menu Inventor is rather gimpy, but hopefully, it will return soon - with the same facade, but with much more to offer under its hood.

Inventor Icons

Just out of interest, this is how the Menu Inventor icons changed. Funny, isn't it Smile Big?

Full Object-Oriented Recode

Menu Inventor started out as a quasi-object-oriented project and the menu structure is surprisingly stored in a index-linked list (rather than in a tree, that suggests itself)! However, I had my own reasons to do so, firstly it is quick to implement, relatively easy to maintain and does not require so much cognitive activity Smile Big.

However, that is why 1.0a almost reaches its limits, it lacks flexibility and so in order to keep Menu Inventor expandable, the nuts and bolts have to be rewritten. So is the aim of FOOR (yes, I am nuts about abbreviations), which shall make Menu Inventor fully objective and will embed a tree structure.

Menu Inventor Resumed

I believe I have taken a long enough holiday from the Menu Inventor project and hopefully, full of ideas and plans, I will be able to work on this project harder. Await new features and a more bug-free experience. The new version will be numbered 1.1.

International Day

International Day

Resuming Yearbook work, I started out on yet another Events page, this time focused on International Day, taking place some time ago. Here is the first half-empty version (or half-full as an optimist would put it).
