Yearbook

Yearbook - Second-years done.

Yearbook is not dead! Today, I finished the first seven pages for the Students section - the (lovely (some of them)) second year students. Our progress can now be closely monitored via the Yearbook Progress Panel. Also, more previews are to be published beginning of September.

Introducing Litebox...

Yes, mad enough but I decided to change the yearbook design again. This, though is my final design name Litebox, inspired by the LIYSF and the London Underground Smile. The Tech design was too complicated to manage and the time press is great. This new design is very "light" (as the name suggests) and very quick to draw. These two attempts were created in less than 2 hours.

International Day

International Day

Resuming Yearbook work, I started out on yet another Events page, this time focused on International Day, taking place some time ago. Here is the first half-empty version (or half-full as an optimist would put it).

The Drome-Temple

The Drome-TempleNo new posts more than a week, so I decided to post this background image (made in Blender, of course) that has been used for the Teachers Cover, just before it has been fully post-processed (glow, annotations, text, tech design etc.). It represents a temple/drome - details later Wink

Teachers Cover & One Year 1

Working fast as a greased lightning, I finished the Teachers Cover (by far with the most complicated background design), with which I am highly satisfied and I also managed to complete a double page for 1MG. Shame that I cannot post them, there's some problem with ic.cz, but in the end I decided to keep them secret, since I don't want to reveal tooo much. Moment of surprise, you know 8).

Ybook "Meating" #3

Originally, we were supposed to discuss the promotion strategy, but instead I had to talk severely to Linda about the state of mess in the photo dept's organisation.

Then OJ, Jakub and I went on to criticising my new cover for Students section and consented, that it is being overstuffed and looks awfully kitshy. I'll fix that Razz.

Students Cover

Students Cover

I spend a lot (and I mean a LOT!) of time on this, especially on the various textes etc. (but I had fun, although sometimes I was not sure what I was really writing!). Just in case you are wondering, then yep, the background is made with Blender.

Video Tutorials

I must say, creating video tutorials is fun and real-pain-in-the-neck at the same time. I took me nearly two hours to create 30 minutes of instruction video with my own commentary. The first problem is me, since I continuously made speech mistakes (which I then gave up to remove) and the second problem was displacement of the video and audio layer. Also, the mouse was not always visible. OJ - good luck...

Events under construction

Phew Surprise! After arduous tweaking and combining, finally managed to complete a first page of the Events section along with a workable template for my fellow OJ. Check it out!

Events [1,2]Events, first double page, dedicated to the 2005 Student Council presidental elections. Currently first version - I have to find candidate photos and let other people to criticise it.
